Morning at The Lake, Allestree, Derbyshire
What a difference a day makes. Following the heavy rains and black cloud cover we awake to a brand new type of day…A still lake with just the faintest of breezes to cause a slight ripple, blue sky and fluffy white clouds and a sun that really is warm…warm as if it is a summer day….which of course it is!
It does though have that late summer feel with hay meadows mown, Rosebay Willow Herb still sporting red tops as if reluctant to say good bye. Beneath the Hedgerow the grasses and Cow Parsley are thick and providing food and shelter for insects, Butterflies and Bees…..
