Burnham Overy Mill over the River Burn, Norfolk
The building we see today is now residential but was for several centuries a busy Water Driven Mill. The building and bridge date back to 1780/90’s and are in fact a replacement for an even earlier mill.
Norfolk has always been an important agricultural region so this Mill will once have been an important economic asset to the area….I guess its shear size emphasises that importance.
Another summer image that I hope will brighten your winters day
