Willy Lotts Cottage, Flatford Mill, Suffolk
Just thought that as the weather has been so dark, wet and miserable over much of England that a reminder of summer days would not go amiss.
Willy Lotts Cottage, together with much of the area around Flatford Mill and the River Stour, are featured in John Constables famous paintings of Dedham Vale and surrounds. For the most part the landscape is unchanged since Constable put brush, to paint, to canvas in the earl 1800’s and to this day is known as Constable Country.
