Sunday Reflections….

ROCKET

Reflections of the Narrowboat Rocket early on a calm February morning as it passes through Sydney Gardens that straddle the Kennet and Avon Canal in Bath, Somerset.

I also was in a reflective mood and took a look back to images from 8 years ago and this was the first to surface.

It was also a ‘reflection’ of a cold day, there had been frost but no ice and only Nb Rocket was moving.  We were on the canal to review this refurbished tug for one of the Canal Boat Magazines. Whilst the exterior is a compliment to the owner for all his hard restoration work the interior was also a tribute to his joinery skills in crafting a superb cosy and comfortable boat on which to live.

A great day to be out and about and a day to Reflect on times gone by.

  1. You are pulling my leg, David. February? What trees do I see in full leave? Apart from my bewilderment, it’s a gloriuous scene on this calm water. What a beauty is this canal boat. Great pic too.

    • I kid you not…13.2.2008 is the date on the embedded file meta data. Those tress are part of the Victorian Parkland and Gardens and are mainly Yew, Rhododendron, Holly and Laurel. It was a lucky gap in the weather and still touch and go on the day we set off for the shoot….just one sunny day between rain and grey skies
