Skeleton on the edge of the Moor

Longshaw

Longshaw Moor Edge, Derbyshire

The Pine has been windswept for most of its life, now bent and stunted, but still a haven of green.  The Birch has yet to shows its leaf buds but even in its undressed state presents a fine figure.  This may well be the edge of the Moors but the relatively mild winter, which has also been pretty wet, has ensured that the grass is still green.

Pretty as that may all be it will be a relief once Spring proper arrives and its arrival cannot come too soon.
