The Smallest House in Great Britain….
A BIG claim but true. This dwelling on the Quay at Conwy, in the shadows of Conwy Castle, is indeed the smallest house in Great Britain.
It has been there since the 16th century and lived in until 1900 when local Fisherman Robert Jones was eventually forced to move out. The house has a floor area of just 10ft by 6ft and is on two levels. Equally amazing it that Robert Jones was a lofty 6ft 3inches tall and could never stand to his full height in any of the rooms.
Today the house is an obvious but intriguing tourist attraction. Your guide would be a Welsh Lady in traditional Welsh Dress complete with black hat and lace frill.
As you can see in quiet times she has to stand outside to be able to read the Daily Paper.
Just an idea for this Weeks Cees Odd Ball Photo Challenge.
