A Sunny Bank Holiday…….

DSC_7799bbA bright warm early morning sun had to be taken advantage of and being a Bank Holiday we would be free to enjoy the day.

So whilst most folk were opting for a lazy start to the day we headed off for an early  walk in the park…  and to see how well the National Hydrangea Collection was managing after what has been a very wet August.

The early morning light added extra warmth to the colourful blooms.  True, many of the more colourful were past there best but the warm colour of the sun added an extra tint to the White and Cream and more blousy blooms that were now the stars of the Collection……

(You can see more Hydrangea images at the start of the season on my earlier blog on this link:https://davidoakesimages.wordpress.com/2017/08/06/hydrangea-season-again/  )

There were other signs that summer was heading towards autumn in other parts of the park…some trees starting to turn towards there colourful conclusion

The warmth and the sunshine still said summer and indeed it was a bonus day to be out on a relaxing stroll with no particular goal apart from to enjoy…
