Cee’s Black and White Photo Challenge – Close Ups

100% of an Elephant !

I remember when studying basic maths one lecturer posed the question when discussing percentages….”Do you want 10% of and Elephant or 100% of a Mouse” …. in other words percentages are meaningless without qualification.

So let me qualify why I like 100% of this elephant .  Its Silver, its old (my Great Grans) and its very small, just 2 inches from trunk to tail.  At one time it had Ivory Tusks but they vanished long before it became one of our family treasures.

So this is my suggestion for this weeks B&W Challenge on Close Ups

Cee’s Black & White Photo Challenge – Two

Two Brick Arches and Two Pidgeon Boxes

This building is actually an old Blacksmiths Worksop in the Stable Yard of a old Estate ….. illustrates that despite the utilitarian aspect of the buildings they were still well built by craftspeople who took pride in their work.

(As the Pidgeon Boxes are very old I thought I would use the old English spelling of Pigeon)

Just my idea for this weeks Black & White Challenge.  You can see more on this link:-

Cee’s Black 7 White Photo Challenge – OLD (2)

OK…I own up.  It is not a photograph that I have taken….but it is an image of me!

In fact it is the only picture that I have with my Grandma Sargen, in fact the only picture of me with any of my Grandparents.   The picture was taken in 1946 and it is also features my late sisters, Margaret (left) Anne (right) in our garden in Manchester.

I still think it qualifies for this weeks B&W Photo Challenge.
