Silent Sunday …so off the Church

An early Sunday morning, perfect for a stroll through the Courtyards of Amalienborg Palace, past the statue of King Frederik V and then straight onto the Marmorkirken…the iconic Marble Church also known as Frederik’s Church.

I can remember well that early Sunday morning on our first to Copenhagen.  A perfect start to a perfect day of exploration

Silent Sunday……Early morning Copenhagen

Frederik’s Kirke (also known as the Marble Church) from Amalienborg Castle Square.

Early Sunday morning is about the only time that Copenhagen is quiet…. a big contrast to later in the day.

Weekly Photo Challenge: Inside

I believe that this building on the Quayside at Copenhagen was once a Salt Warehouse.  Now it is a ‘Boutique Hotel’ and I am told with an interior of some style.  Yet the outside, to me,  looked more like an institutional Prison….all the more so with one ‘inmate’ on the inside looking out.   A real Insider.
