Last day of August….

The Man of War, Lulworth

It is the last day of August and what a wonderful month it has been…full of sunshine and blue skies with only the very occasional odd spot of rain….it really has been a summer that dreams are made of.  The Meteorological Office insist that autumn starts tomorrow.

Well I for one don’t accept that, surely we have a few more weeks of sunshine to give us a lovely late summer to match what has gone before.

Good bye August…. a month to remember.

Time for Home…

Sundown-Devon

Four glorious weeks of sunshine…whish we could stay longer, but it is time to head for home.  At least we had a warm welcome where ever we went and a sunny warm farewell on our last evening which found us saying goodbye to Devon.

Gone to Seed…..

The grasses in the flower meadow are now so tall that they have long since drowned the flowers and herbs.  Now the seed heads are drooping, heavy with new seeds…..so I guess the man with the harvester will be along soon to make some rich herb filled Hay for winter stock feed.
